SI Check gives a second opinion. It isn’t advice, and it isn’t a guarantee.

What this is

SI Check helps you judge messages, links and phone numbers. A report is information, produced partly by software, and software makes mistakes. It is not legal, financial or security advice, and a verdict of “no red flags” does not mean something is safe or genuine.

You decide

You’re responsible for what you do with a report. If you’re unsure, contact the organisation through a channel you find yourself, and talk to someone you trust.

Using the service fairly

  • Don’t submit other people’s private information that you have no right to share.
  • Don’t use SI Check to probe it for the purpose of improving scams, to attack other systems, or at a volume that harms other people’s use. We limit this automatically.
  • Don’t submit unlawful material.

Free checks and Plus

  • Everyone can run a limited number of free checks each day, without an account. The limit is shown next to the check form and resets at midnight UTC.
  • SI Check Plus is a subscription, billed in advance for each period through Stripe at the price shown on the Plus page. It renews automatically until you cancel.
  • You can cancel any time from your account. You keep Plus until the end of the period you’ve paid for, and you won’t be charged again. Where the law gives you a right to a refund or to withdraw, that right applies.
  • Plus has a fair-use limit on checks per day, shown on the Plus page. The verdict, the evidence and the advice on what to do are the same on every plan.
  • If we change the price, we’ll tell subscribers by email before it applies, and you can cancel before then.

Your content

You keep your rights in what you submit. You allow us to process it to produce your report and to keep the masked report for the period stated on the Privacy page.

No warranty, limited liability

The service is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we’re not liable for losses arising from reliance on a report. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Who we are and which law applies

Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced on this page.
